Applications are invited for the following position :

SAFETY & HEALTH OFFICER
(Based in Kota Kinabalu)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
• Certificate from NIOSH as safety & Health Officer
• At least 3 years of proven working experience in the related field

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out risk assessments and considering how risk could be reduced
• Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards
• Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
• Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
• Being up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all HSE legislation and any developments that affect the employers
• Ensuring the safe installation of equipment
